I’ll be honest, us first years are looking pretty rough this time of year. Our briefs were turned in today…hallelujah.
And now on to oral arguments.
Put a bunch first years in a room, make them debate a case….and tear them apart. Oh goodie.
What would happen if I stood up, and simply recited my “How to” speech from Freshman Comm class? Or my persuasive speech on why students shouldn’t get married in Undergrad. (don’t worry, it was more of a joke speech than anything) However, that was a great speech.
Instead I get 10 minutes to debate the enforceability of a liquidated damages provision in a breach of contract where no actual damages were actually accrued.
Not quite as exciting.
Just 2 more weeks until Spring Break. Finals are looming…but that also means whether I am prepared or not…my first year of law school will be finished in just 8 weeks.
