Another use for a t-shirt

I have a naturally wavy hair.
Pro- some days the waves are cute.
Con- some days they aren’t and I have NO desire to straighten them.
However, I’ve learned if I sleep with wet hair…I have no choice but to straighten, put on a hat, or rock the fro.
I saw a post earlier at Sugar Bee talking about a post she had seen where you tie felt in your hair.
So then I figured…I don’t have felt…but I do have scraps of t-shirt!
I’ve done this a few times, and it has been an awesome solution for the “no I cant wait another 12 hours and wash my hair in the morning because it MUST be washed NOW” type of evenings.
My favorite part- it takes about 5 minutes. First, put a little mouse in your hair. Then grab 6-8 strips of tshirt from all of the other crafts you have done involving them. Start at the bottom of your hair, and roll it up and tie it (JUST ONCE! Trust me it will stay. No need to cut your hair trying to get these out in the morning)
I have pretty thick hair, and about 8 strips is perfect for me! I don’t use a mirror when I’m doing this (because I’m usually doing something else) and I felt like it was pretty hair to mess up. No, I don’t brush my hair first either.
It makes some pretty crazy curls, but I’ve used it to rock a side pony the next day. It comes out too curly for me to wear it down, but could make an awesome Shirley Temple look for the little kiddos.

I love it! I have the same problem with my hair. I have to do something with it otherwise it is just a big frizz ball. I will try this next!

I think you just described MY hair. I will definitely need to try this...but on a weekend when I won't get stuck with a fro if it doesn't work out! Do you find your hair is dry by morning? I often go to sleep with wet hair for the exact same reason as you, and in the morning, my hair is cold, as if it *just* finished drying.

Haha phew! Glad I'm not the only one! Teri, I also still have damp hair when I wake up! I blow dry it for a few minutes, take it out, and then finish drying. It doesnt take long though, compared to what it would take me if I had just gotten out of the shower!!

Are you taking pictures in the library? Haha. If you are, I'm not even judging. Obviously, since I did that two weeks ago.

This is a brilliant idea - I'm definitely stealing it. On my off hair days, I usually throw it up in the blogger bun, so this is a nice plan b.

Your hair is really cute! Love the side pony. My hair just kinda poofs and goes all "triangle head" the day after I wash it lol.

Kitty, you are so cute!!! I used to do this all the time,, thanks for reminding me how pretty your hair can look, after a night of uncomfortable sleeping with those things in your hair,,, lol.

OMG...this caught my attention at once because, MY MOM used to "roll" my hair using T-shirt strips she made from one of my dad's t-shirts. I had long straight hair and tried those old brush rollers...NO SLEEP THEN...and my mom did the T-shirt rollers...I slept and I had great curls. Thanks for the memory! I love it.
