I saw the cutest idea here and decided I MUST try it! Although their idea is MUCH cuter- I decided to take the one that took less time and effort (I was too excited to try it!)
Ta-dah! I really love the convenience of this. All of my sewing items are in a Tupperware container. Not as cute as this!!!
All you need is a little batting, a jar (with the double lid part- an inner and outer ring), fabric scraps, and a hot glue gun! In the original tutorial, they spray painted the lid- and made it all cutesy! Could make a perfect gift!
I found the jar at Goodwill Outlet (technically goodwill Wearhouse) for $0.29. Never heard of a Goodwill Wearhouse? Well let me tell you. This place is AMAZING
Its bins and bins of crap that goodwill didnt sell. (basically where goodwill items go to die) The best part is when you get there, and they are changing out the isles. They say "clear isle 2" then switch out the bins, and then everyone races to dig through them! Its seriously the best thing ever.
Oh- and better yet, you pay by the pound, not for items. Its something like $1.29 per pound, and the more you buy, the cheaper it gets. Except furniture is marked separate. Chairs are $1-3 for example. Yes, it is SUPER sketchy. But this place seriously is amazing.

They just opened one of these in St. Louis this past weekend! I went on Saturday and, DUDE!, it was amazing. I can't wait to go back!
I think this is just the cutest idea. I can think of several people in my life that would like it and I think it would be adorable in a guest room or restroom for visitors with emergency buttons and stuff in it.
This is really cute. Love the title of your blog. I so remember law school. I am your latest follower. I would love for you to come and check out my blog and follow me back at www.diybydesign.blogspot.com. Thanks so much.
Ummm, never heard of a GW warehouse but I know I want to go now! I'll have to see if I can find one near me! Cute sewing jar too btw!

Cute idea. All my sewing stuff is in a zip lock bag. I'm a new follower from the creative hop.
Really cute! There's a GW outlet around here somewhere. One of my friends goes often and I need her to take me with her. I think it would be fun, because I think the regular prices at GW are a little steep these days :)
