I've been obsessed with umbra's floating bookshelves. Yes, I still love them....but if you are looking for a cheap alternative, check these out. Super easy, super cheap!
Just find a couple cheap brackets. Kevin and I picked these up at lowes for about .50 a piece.
Just attach them upside down, and you're ready to go!

Very cool! And super easy too. A great way to show off your books.
OH MY GOSH! You are brilliant! I have been obsessing about those freaking bookshelf things too! But it's way too much, so I hadn't bought them! You are so smart! LOL
I have to tell you, I just found my law school drop out wedding photographer.... Weird, huh?
I wish I could hire you to make the anthro teapot lamp.... COUGH COUGH... Any chance you could offer than in your shop? I really want it all in white and I don't have time to do it. Actually, I'm more freaked out about the wires. I know you don't have time either. Just saying... COUGH.
This is an amazing idea! SO GREAT!
This is going to happen in my kitchen in about 15 minutes! I have the brackets out in the shed...just have to climb over the mower and tiller to get to the tote...LOL. Thanks so much for such an easy and smart idea!
Book lover, here. This idea just calls my name!
Great idea!
Great idea! The books looks awesome "floating!"
These look great! The only thing that would have made them better is if you would have gotten the brackets at Menards where my dad works. :)

I love those and the books are so cute! I've seen them before but didn't realize you can DIY :)
I'm stopping by from Laura's Saturday is Crafty Day-- have a great weekend!
They look great. Would be fun next to your bed to hold novels you were reading too! Thanks for linking up with DIY under $5!
PINNED! Love this idea! Thanks for sharing!
Great idea!
You could also use these, if you want them to be a little closer to the wall.
