Wednesday evening I drove to Colorado for my fall break! I took off a weee bit early...seeing as how the only day I actually have off is next Monday. But thanks to a professor canceling class, and very good friends willing to take notes in my other class....I decided it was a necessary adventure.
On the way I had a phone interview set up for a freelance writer working on an article in SmartMoney magazine. She was looking for information to put in her article regarding things people should know about coffee shops! I asked her how she found out about me, and it was all through the blog! I shared a bit of my experience and hopefully will be seeing it in an upcoming magazine!
As for today, I learned Nebraskan's shouldn't try to run in Colorado. Why?
1. Altitude
2. Hills
That about covers it.
Last Monday, a friend and I started running together. We decided that after undergrad, its hard to find the motivation and time to stay fit. So together, we make time. We decided to be on the "honor system" and run while I am away. Oh goodness....I've never felt so tired as I did today. After 2 miles I thought my lung was going to collapse, and had to sit in my car a couple of minutes, just in case I passed out while driving. (hilarious...yes.)
After the run, I enjoyed an afternoon of reading from my law textbooks. Even though I'm taking a vacation from school, doesn't mean school stops while I'm gone!
