I feel like I've been asking for assistance alot from the blogging world....but you all do such a FABULOUS job of giving me answers...that I have to ask another question.
If you own an etsy shop- do you ever have problems of customers emailing your personal account? I know they get my personal email address from paypal, but is there a way to hide that?
Its difficult for me to track questions, if they are emailing me multiple places. Plus if they email through etsy, etsy tells me what we have previously talked about, and what their order was.
Basically- its one of my BIGGEST PEEVES. That, and asking me when something shipped....which mark and send email notifications about.
So I ask you- is there a way to hide my papal email address so I don't get personal emails?
(if you are one of the people that has emailed me there after an order...I don't hate you....but this is a warning....I may hate you next time)

I have my paypal linked to my etsy shop email address. If you do must or your paypal business through etsy, maybe you could change the email? Not sure if you can hide it or not.

You can change the address listed with your paypal but I dont think you can hide it. I have my paypal linked to a seperate account so I know to check for etsy emails their.
I've actually been looking into this since yesterday when I got your email. I'm very puzzled! The oddest thing, I think, so that no one has ever used the email address on my paypal (which is good, seeing how it is Kirk's and he would be royally confused). Which makes me wonder why people don't use that email, if they are using yours? I include my email in every product I post- maybe that heads them off before they go searching? I will let you know if I find anything!
And I am glad you enjoyed my little russian roulette! One of these days I am hoping to make a treasure hunt.
Sounds like that is the way I should be going! I was just worried if I switched it to another email, I'd be missing important paypal emails. Maybe I'll just have to get over it :)
I have a special email account (that has my shop name in it) and use that for all shop related correspondence. Depending on what kind of email services you use (example: gmail) you can have multiple email addressed "synced" to one inbox, let's say for the email address you check most often. That way you can keep certain addresses for shop, school, and personal emails, but they all end up in one inbox. I have a mac and have all my mail synced to the Mail app. If I were you, I might go that route. So even if your address is being shown through paypal, it will be your shop address. Good luck!
