Finals as a 2L

This next week and a half are my few days as a 2L. Just a quick debriefing of law school:
It is 3 years long (three loooonggg years)
You go by years: 1L 2L 3L
First year is said to be your hardest.
Second year is just alot of work
Third year, you're pretty much over it because...
After you're third year you should have a job and be studying for the BAR exam.

Anyway, I'm finishing my second year.

Its surprising how much less stressed I am as a second year. WAY less crying (I'll admit it. First year was ALOT of stress/freakout crying) I know that in all likelihood I will pass each class, so I need to just calm down and study so that I do the best I can. Its a more rational approach to the whole process. If only I could have told my 1L self that.

Finals will start on Monday. My week and a half of finals goes a little like this:

Monday: Mergers and Acquisitions Final
Tuesday: Corporate Tax Final (BLECK)
Wednesday: Take home final for Pre-Trial Litigation
Thursday: Leave for Oklahoma road trip!
Friday: Watch my little cousin graduate from my Alma Mater
Saturday: use my new noise canceling headphones to study at a coffee shop
Sunday: run my first ever HALF MARATHON and then take the trek back to Nebraska.
Monday: study my little rear off
Tuesday: Employment Law Final
Wednesday: Securities Regulations Final
Wednesday at 11:30am
Rock out to whatever song is on the radio, sing at the top of my lungs, cry from relief, and drive home.
Wednesday at 1:00pm
Sit in my bed and wonder what I am supposed to do with the rest of the day.
It's like when you take an indoor cat outside, place them just outside your door, and they freeze up. Its all because they've never had this much space and it scares them half to death...even though for the last 5 years of the cat's life it has been staring through the glass door, wanting nothing more than to go chase the squirrel on the deck.
Its the best and yet weirdest feeling....you don't have to feel guilty for not studying every moment, and you're truly free from learning. It may be short lived, but its amazing.

But then after that, it is a whirlwind of activity.
Thursday: Move to Omaha (to start my job on Monday!)
Thursday Night: catch a flight to DENVER to see Kevin
Fri-Sat: Spend time with Kevin
Sunday: Fly back to Omaha
Monday: Start my new job!
