I've been forgetting to talk about my weekend job! After two years of being away from Starbucks...I couldn't stand it anymore....and I'm back! My old starbucks was thrilled to have me come back for the summer, and I couldn't wait to take up being a barista again!
My sister stopped by to visit me today, and took a couple photos of me hard at work :)
No, I don't HAVE to have a weekend job. But I enjoy it. Yes, I'm tired by the end of the day...and working 7 days a week can get to you somedays...but I enjoy it. Plus, there are some great perks that come along with working at Starbucks.
I was so excited when a couple of regulars remembered me after two years. And honestly, I picked things back up pretty quickly! Its all about learning the basic formulas, and apply them to the drinks!
Incase you're curious, this summer my go-to drink is a iced triple grande soy latte. If I'm in the mood for a little less caffeine I take a trenta no water no sweetener passion tea. Yum Yum!
I'm actually a pretty boring drink person. I've been off of very sweet coffee drinks for a couple of years. I drink much stronger coffee drinks now, rather than feeling like I'm drinking a candy bar. Don't get me wrong, they are amazing some days, but for a regular day I'm pretty dull!
Truly, I've missed coming home with splotches of caramel and vanilla syrup splattered on my arms, my car smelling like coffee all the time, and smiling and chatting up strangers. If this whole legal career thing doesn't work out...atleast I know I have a backup :)

I have heard Starbucks is a great company to work for.
As for drinking coffee, I am a plain ol' black coffee drinker (when I even bother to drink it... I don't drink coffee on a regular basis; I describe myself as a "social drinker.") For me, chocolate ruins coffee, and coffee ruins chocolate. I just don't want to mix them. I'm not a gourmet by any means; I couldn't tell you the difference between different roasts of coffee. I just drink whatever's handed to me. But I LOVE to smell it.
